Minister for Education Hon Dr Brendon Nelson met with the delegatioin
Australian International Trade Association (AITA) organized a China Education Delegation to Australia, consist of Kaifeng Municipal Government, Changsha Education Burea, and Jiamusi Education Burea.

Australian Minister for Education Hon Dr Brendon Nelson warmly received the delegation at Australian Parliament House Canberra. Minister for Education, the Hon Dr Brendan Nelson, spoke of the positive relations between Chinese and Australian Educational Departments, referring to the agreement signed with his Chinese counterpart in 2003, and praised AITA’s efforts to generate and encourage direct links in the education sectors of the two countries.

An Australia-China Education Forum was held at the Parliament House afterwards. A lot of stakeholders in Australia attended the forum, including Hon Julie Bishop, Minister of Aging, Hon Bob Baldwin MP, Hon Laurie Ferguson, Shadow Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs and Shadow Minister for Population, Hon Bronwyn Bishop, Chair of the Joint committee of Legal and Constitutional Affairs, Jodi Moylan MP, Ms Catherine King MP, Member for Ballarat, Mr Bernie Ripple MP, Member for Oxley, Ms Jan Hirst, Representative from the Deputy Prime Minister's office, Ms Kelly Hoare MP, Chair of the House of Representatives Standing on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs, Mr. Wayne Robinson, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University Ballarat, Mr Colin Bailey, Chairman of Cudgegong in Mudgee.
